Soon after, the PC's signed up with a charismatic Gemiri merchant named Marovio LaVorgna, who has a ship docked in Gillheda, called the Il Conto de Vento, the "Wind's Account". It is a fast two-master caravel of Gemiri construction, small as ships go but worthy-looking enough. His plan is to sail around the Krayten Sea, making planned stops at Taldane (in Alastin), Galadova (in Tregosta), and eventually sailing past Gemric all the way to Port Sovran (in Terathmin), trading and pursuing rumors as he goes. The PC's will serve as guards and mercenaries, keeping him alive during this long adventure. At journey's end, the PC's will arrive in Cio Gemir, which he assures them is the most incredible city in the world, wealthy enough to establish themselves as well-to-do residents should they care to.

K24: Intro to the Krayten Sea Arc - Il Conte de Vento
In Gillheda, the PC's found themselves in the awkward position of negotiating with a Darlzachan delegation of three plus a bugbear for the fate of one Semmgidda Flame-Of-The-Tenth-Window. This roguish Darlzachan was caught by town authorities performing an unwelcome ritual in the Temple of the Vannemid, the sea deity of the Kehler. The Darlzachan lead negotiator was a woman called Velnassa-Of-The-White-Margin, with a white and gold mask. Thanks to delicate diplomacy, the issue was resolved peacefully. Semmgidda attempted to hire the PC's to help him escape, but they refused. He was taken away to the Darlzachan skyship and apparently decapitated onboard. The sky ship then departed to the southeast, toward Gemric (this struck the local Gemiri as odd).

Lavorgna’s journey takes him southward along the Krayten’s edge, weaving between the cities and scattered ports of Old Anadra. Ports of call will include Taldane, Tregosta, Dolnari, and Terathmin — each with its own opportunities, dangers, and secrets. Though the ship carries honest cargo — salted fish, rough wool, driftwood carvings, and barrels of potent brinewine — rumors among the crew hint at hidden goods and riskier dealings tucked away beneath the deck. The "Wind’s Account" operates with a lean but capable crew:
Here’s the same list, trimmed to one line per crew member:
- Marovio Lavorgna – Charming merchant with sharp eyes and a constant ledger in hand.
- Risto Vannari – Stoic, steady captain who speaks little but knows the sea intimately.
- Kala “Quick-Knife” – Silent, intense first mate, always watching and twirling a knife.
- Merrin Farlowe – Loud, cheerful bo’sun with a roguish grin and a sharp eye for cargo.
- Hekates – Distracted navigator who mutters strange observations and studies the stars.
- Tharn – Eager young deckhand, superstitious and full of wild stories.
- “Mouse” – Small, quiet runaway with a knack for locks and hiding in plain sight.
- Old Jarra – Crusty cook who grumbles nonstop but keeps the crew fed and patched up.
