Electrolaser - This energy weapon is neither as accurate nor as deadly as a laser pistol, but it is more versatile, allowing both lethal and nonlethal options. It uses the same battery as a stunner, but is more of a powerhog. "Rifle" versions are available with a somewhat increased range as well. Lethal damage uses two charges per shot. Because they rely on a tunnel of ionized air to work, they are useless in vacuum. They use the same battery pack as a standard stunner. These are often carried by security forces, often alongside sonic weapons which fill a similar roll.
